| Silence hesitated, unsure whether or not to follow the rest of the pack. Had she been accepted? Deciding that it was better to join and be called out on it the not to join in, she crept up until she was on the diagonal left from the alpha. | |

| Amsil crept up to the right shoulder of the deer, which was now consumed in a daydream, eyes glazed over. She nodded at Rinka, and lowered herself deeper into the long, wispy grass. She was tempted to growl, but she didn't. | |

| Rinka sighed with the wind, the pack was taking too long. "Just go!" he barked, jumping at the deer. "Break it's tendons!" he said, continuing on his chase. The male finally jump and sank his teeth into the right shoulder of the deer, missing his mark by a few inches. The animal honked in pain but hardly slowed. He clamped harder, scraping bone with his fangs and the animal stumbled.
It was in pain, Rinka knew that. He dropped from the deer but continued on his chase, waiting for the others to attack. "I kill it!" he barked over the xcitement. | |

| Amsil bolted, and leapt. Her claws dug into it's back, and she hauled her lithe frame onto the deer. She landed a well-placed bite, jumping off and stumbling when she was bitten by the deer. | |

| Silence followed the others, nipping at the deer's heels and finally catching, entirely severing the tendon. The deer stumbled immediately, and she backed off in order for Rinka to end the deer's life. | |

| Rinka stood in front of the deer's heaving body, looking into her eyes. "Your life has been valued and will sustain my pack, I thank you." he muttered as he snapped his jaws shut on the deer's spine and saw the light leave it's eyes. "May your spirit be free among us," then he turned his head to the setting sun and howled. | |

| Rinka lowered his head, feeling eyes watcching him her looked around and looked in surprise to see Amsil watching him. After a moments hesitation he returned a warm smile and wagged his tail, then bit into the carcass, taking a large chunk for himself and backing off for the others to eat. | |
